Rustins Clear Plastic Floor Coating Kit

A two-part cold cure finish, based on Alkyd Plasticised Urea Formaldehyde resins.

Use on bare wood, hardboard, MDF, slate, unsealed cork and vinyl tiles.

For interior use only. Quick-drying. Non-yellowing on ageing.

The finish is highly durable, resistant to impact, abrasion and solvents.

Enhances the colour of the wood.

The coating is almost colourless, but some woods change colour when coated. May be re-coated after a minimum of one hour.

Technical Information:

+ Finish: Satin and Gloss.
+ Composition: Solvent based.
+ Interior or exterior: Interior.
+ Surface: Wood, hardboard, Cork, plastic, laminate.
+ Coverage: 13-15 sq.m per litre, one coat, depending on the absorbency of the wood.
+ Product Application: Using a large brush or varnish roller, apply evenly and liberally, finishing in the direction of the grain. Rustins Plastic Coating Thinners (up to 10%) may be added to aid the application in hot weather. No other thinners may be added to the coating.
+ Touch Dry: The coating is generally touch-dry within 30 minutes - 1 hour, depending on the temperature.
+ Re-coatable: Two coats are usually sufficient on hardwood floors, but in heavy traffic areas, apply three coats. Softwoods and cork may require a minimum of three coats, depending on the absorbency. Commercial premises may require four coats.
+ VOC Level: Low.
